The University of Barcelona (UB) and the Foundation University Institute for Primary Health Care Research (IDIAP) launched their first Citizen Act workshops in Mataró (Barcelona) on 14, 17 and 21 June 2019. Lessons were given for a group of six people at the Pla d’en Boet civic centre.
During the first session, a brief introduction to the project was given , surveys were carried out to assess the initial level of the participants and we made a brief introduction about the use of Internet in different devices (tablets and mobiles): how to be connected to Internet and creation of a personal account.
During the second and third sessions, ‘the mobile applications (apps) definition and related concepts were discussed (where to find different Apps and how to download them). In all sessions, there was a short coffe-break for refreshments and networking.
The participants found the information very useful and want to continue to deepen their knowledge in the next sessions that will begin on September 16 in the same location. In the next classes the groups will be composed by 15 participants and will be taught the usefulness of different applications related to health for a healthy aging will be taught . Next sessions will be focused during September and October and will end by the first week of November.
